Don't be a creep. Don't harass anyone. Don't mess with the venue's network or gear. Have a good time, and help others have one too.
The long version
BSides JAX is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, ability, ethnicity, religion, age, appearance, or experience level. We do not tolerate harassment in any form.
Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to the categories above, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, unwanted photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.
Enforcement
Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. If a participant engages in harassing behavior, organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the conference with no refund.
Reporting
If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns - find an organizer (we wear marked shirts/lanyards) or email coc@bsidesjax.org. Reports are handled confidentially.
Scope
This policy applies to the venue, online spaces (Discord, chat, social), and any event-associated gatherings or afterparties.
